Archbishop Denis O'Connor Catholic High School Plants Trees

On Thursday, May 22, students in Grade 9-12 from Archbishop Denis O’Connor Catholic High School came together to plant trees in Ajax. The Faith in Motion group organized this tree planting event with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority's (TRCA) Conservation Youth Corps. 51 students from the school contributed to this exciting conservation initiative, and at the end of the day, 400 trees were planted!

Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si' (Praise Be) emphasizes the importance of caring for the earth and addressing the environment. DO’C planted trees as a concrete action that aligns with this call to action hoping to foster a deeper connection with nature and promoting ecological awareness
