Posted On Thursday September 26, 2019

The French as a Second Language (FSL) Advisory Committee is a group comprised of Durham Catholic District School Board administrators, educators and system leaders. The FSL Advisory Committee meets throughout the school year to discuss French language programs and determine best practices to effectively support these programs in our schools.

The FSL Advisory Committee is looking for Durham Catholic secondary students in Grades 9-12 that are currently studying French. The students will join the FSL Advisory Committee in learning about FSL programs and will support conversations and initiatives based on the goals for FSL education in the Durham Catholic District School Board.

The FSL Advisory Committee will meet periodically during the 2019-20 school year. Meetings take place at the Catholic Education Centre, 650 Rossland Road West, Oshawa. Transportation to and from the meetings will be arranged and provided by the Teaching and Learning Department of the Durham Catholic District School Board. If you are interested, please submit a letter expressing how you may contribute to the FSL Advisory Committee and help to support its mandate of improving FSL programs in the Durham Catholic District School Board. The letter must be included as an attachment and include your name, grade, FSL program and secondary school you attend.

Please forward your letter via email no later than October 18, 2019 to:
